We continued the drive to Johannesburg. We went through some interesting places on the way.
Markets are held on the side of the road in Houghton.
We continued our tour up to Constitution Hill where we had a guided tour of the old jail. Following this we went into the Constitutional Courts of Justice. It was very interesting to hear about the history of the place.
Our last port of call for the morning tour was the Museum Africa which housed a lot of the history of the tribes of Africa & how they have moved forward.
After a lunch break we met our driver again for a trip to Pretoria about 60 miles away from Sandton. We headed for the Voortrekker Museum which followed the movement of the people from the Cape north where they were to resettle. It also shows the story through carved murals.
Next place of interest was the home belonging to President Kruger which is now a historical museum.
After a very long day we headed back to the hotel where we rested up a while before going to get some dinner.
